After hanging up his boots as a player, Shri Dilbagh Singh Jee went on to serve as an instrumental selector for the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) — a role in which he discovered, mentored, and propelled some of the finest cricketing talents Delhi has ever produced. He was known for his sharp eye for talent, his unwavering integrity, and his ability to see potential where others saw none.

1959 — a landmark year in Delhi's cricketing history. It was in this year that Shri Dilbagh Singh Jee turned a lifelong dream into reality. With the founding of the Delhi Gymkhana Cricket Club, he created more than just a cricket institution — he built a world-class training centre where young cricketers from all corners of Delhi could come together, learn the game the right way, and compete at the highest domestic levels.
